Chocolate Mousse is one of the most well liked of recent trending foods in the world. It is simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions every day. They’re fine and they look fantastic. Chocolate Mousse is something that I’ve loved my whole life.

To get started with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook chocolate mousse using 6 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Chocolate Mousse:
  1. Make ready 10-15 oreo biscuits
  2. Take 100 gm milk chocolate
  3. Make ready 50 gm dark chocolate
  4. Get 150 gm warm milk
  5. Make ready 300 ml whipping cream
  6. Get 2 piping bags

Chocolate mousse has very few ingredients so it's important to use the best quality chocolate — its flavor will shine through. I like semi-sweet chocolate but if you prefer your mousse with a darker chocolate flavor, use bittersweet. Remember, the higher the cacao percentage, the less sweet the chocolate.. This makes it the perfect make-ahead dessert!

Instructions to make Chocolate Mousse:
  1. Measure out all the ingredients and set aside. Empty out the oreos in a plastic bag and crush them using a rolling pin or the back of a spoon. Whip the cream till it forms stiff peaks. Portion into 2 bowls in equal quantity.
  2. Cut chocolate into small chunks or shave it. On a double boiler, melt your chocolate while slowly adding warm milk. Make sure the chocolate melts evenly. Use a spatula for better results. Do not let it sit on the double boiler for longer period of time as the temperature will change and the chocolate might split in later steps.
  3. Now remove the bowl from the boiler and stir the chocolate well to lower it's temperature. When it is a little cool, fold in one half of the whipping cream to it. Make sure you leave no lumps behind. Now fill in one piping bag with chocolate whip and other one with plain whipped cream. Cut the ends of both bags to pipe it easily.
  4. Take a dessert glass or bowl of your choice and start layering it. Firstly, spread the crushed oreo cookies on the bottom layer covering it completely. Next, pipe the chocolate whip, then the plain whipped and then repeat until you reach the top. Lastly top it off with crushed oreos to decorate.

While chocolate mousse is just fine all on its own, you can fancy it up by adding a dollop of whipped cream to each dish before serving. The word "mousse" is French for foam, and that's a pretty good way to describe this dessert! It's airy and light as a cloud, with tons of little bubbles and a texture that just melts on the tongue. Heat until chocolate is fully melted and mixture is smooth. Chill metal mixing bowl and mixer beaters in freezer.
